MENA Tour championship - Jordan

Solid week in Jordan…

This week brings an end to the Mena Tour season at Ayla Golf Club in Jordan. After having two weeks working on my game back in the UAE after my trip to Spain, I was confident going into the week after some great work done with Mike and Ali up in Dubai.

The event for me was a bit of a dead rubber, I hadn’t played that many events in the year to be challenging for the order of merit title but wanted to finish off what has been a tough year with a performance to be proud of. The course at Ayla is a challenging one and the wind always blows, so you have to be on your game.

The week started off well with a very solid opening round of 67(-5). I followed that with a battling 71(-1) and then could only manage 72(Level) today with some solid golf but a cold putter. It left me in a tie for 7th overall and nice to finish the MENA Tour season with a top 10 and saw some really promising signs this week with my game trending in the right direction.

Massive thanks to Ayla golf club this week for a cracking event, really great venue and even bigger thanks to my host Chris for putting me up and the great hospitality. I might have lost pretty much every game of FIFA this week but I feel it was a great self esteem boosting experience for him.

Really looking forward to a few days off in Abu Dhabi this weekend before flying to Bahrain on Monday for the King Hamad trophy to finish off the year.

Hope you are all doing well and have a great weekend. Will keep you updated on my progress in Bahrain.

Take care,

Luke
