Clutch - Oxfordshire/ Moor Park

Mixed bag…

Hello everyone, hope you are all doing and having a good week!

My apologies that I didn’t post after last weeks event at the Oxfordshire. After getting home I was straight into Daddy daycare over the weekend and even with an attempted range session it was a quick turnaround before I left for Moor Park Pro Am early Sunday morning.

The last two events have been a little bit of a mixed bag. Some really solid golf, mixed in with some absolute… rubbish! With it being a two day shootout these past two events you can’t really afford to have a slow start or poor run of holes to have a chance to win.

At the Oxfordshire last week, I had rounds of 69(-3)73(+3) for Level par for the event and a middle of the pack finish. Yesterday at Moor Park I played really well for the last 27 holes and managed to shoot -9 for those holes. Unfortunately I started off really slowly and was +5 through six holes so was not what I was looking for to get the event started. Rounds of 73(+1) 67(-5) was good enough for a top 15, realistically after the start it was a very good comeback on what could have been pretty messy.

There is a lot of good things going on with my game at present but I have 10 days to tidy some basics up which have been causing me some problems recently which will hopefully set me up nicely for a two week stretch in Scotland on EuroPro and then a trip to Denmark for European Tour Qualifying school.

Lots of work to be done but will be good to get stuck in and out some hours in. Have a great rest of your week and will keep you posted how I get on in Scotland

Until next time… Cheers Luke
