Guess who’s back???

Been a while…

Hello everyone! It has been a rather long time since my last post and it’s no surprise due to a little pandemic causing a few issues in the world of sport.

However, this week I have been back in action playing in Egypt on the Alps Tour. I will be honest this wasn’t on the schedule for this year but due to the travel restrictions from the UAE to the UK I needed a little pit stop to assist in getting back to the UK without any logistical issues and staying 10 days in a Boris Hotel. So instead of completely losing my mind in a hotel next to Heathrow airport I was very grateful to the Alps Tour for offering me an invite to play two events in Egypt to get me back in the swing of things.

It has been over 14 months since my last 3 day tournament, so I didn’t quite know what to expect coming into this week. I have been working hard on my game back in Abu Dhabi with the help of my golf coach, Mike Bolt and my beautiful wife Lauren has been kicking my ass in the gym so the game has felt good, I just didn’t quite know how it would hold up in competition mode. It felt so good to be back out on the course…

Overall a pretty positive week. Rounds of 69(-3), 64(-8) and 74(+2) for a -9 total for the week, was not a bad way to start the year off. Don’t get me wrong today was frustrating and frankly one of those days on the course but it was so good to be back out playing. I didn’t have my game firing on all cylinders this week but saw plenty of signs that the work that has been done over the past year will make for a fun season ahead.

This year my plan is to be in the UK for the summer and limit my travel as much as possible. I will be focusing on the EuroPro Tour this year to assist with that and travel around the UK to limit any Covid related issues of Quarentine. Should be a good 2021 schedule, so hope you will all enjoy following along.

I’m back in action again on Sunday for the second tournament of the Alps Tour swing, so will keep all posted how it goes. Many thanks for following along and hope you are all staying safe and well!

Until next time…
