EuroPro - Cumberwell Park

Not quite on it…

This week I had the pleasure of returning back to Cumberwell Park Golf club where I was fortunate to win on the EuroPro a few years ago before the world was taken over by Covid.

It is always a great place to go back to and a course I find enjoyable to play, since my junior days I have always seemed to play well round the course which always makes for an enjoyable week.

I will be honest, I was very poor this week. From the tee I was woeful and with a wedge in my hand was not much better so made for a bit of a frustrating week. Rounds of 67(-4), 69(-2) and 74(+3) lead me to a middle of the pack, bang average week with lots of room to improve going forward.

Even though my game wasn’t where I wanted, it was still fun to battle on the course and try and find a way to post a number. The final round yesterday was my first time playing in rain for over a year and it was safe to say after three holes,my golf bag was no longer waterproof and it’s pretty tough going on a wet day when your hitting it everywhere!

Onwards and upwards and straight back to it next week. I’m currently on my way up to Scotland via two courses that I’m playing next week for Open qualifying and also another EuroPro event which I won’t get to see before the event. Will be a busy schedule, but will keep you all posted on the progress.

Have a great weekend and happy fathers Day for all the kick ass Dads out there.

Until next week…
