Asian Q - School - Thana City - Thailand

Asian Q - School - Thana City - Thailand

Rough week in Asia…

Firstly wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year and hope you had a good festive period with family and friends. This past week I was back in action for the Asian Tour Q-School in Thailand. This was the first stage of the qualification process with Final stage happening next week, 3 hours south of Bangkok in Hua Hin.

The course this week was called Thana city, really good track and loved the layout. They had just rebuilt all of the greens in the summer, so for Asian greens they were rock hard and then took out two par 5s to make them long par 4’s and take it down to a tough par 70.

Going into the week I felt the game was in pretty good shape but never seemed to get going at all in Thailand this past week. Three rounds of 73 were not going to cut it to progress. Tough one to start off the year but ultimately another opportunity to learn and get better going forward. I’m next in action at the end of the month for the Mena Tour in Egypt so will be preparing for that over the next few weeks to make sure we are ready to go.

Will keep you posted how things go when I start up again on the Mena Tour but for now I wish you all a good week

Cheers Luke
