EuroPro - Donnington Grove

Back to work…

Hello everyone! Hope you have had a good week and the weather holds for a pleasant weekend ahead.

After 10 days of home Quarentine after my trip from Egypt, it was back to work, playing my first event in the UK this year on The EuroPro Tour at Donnington Grove Golf Club. Was nice to get back to some competitive golf again and see some friendly faces. Luckily I was able to play and practice during Quarentine under the athlete rules which meant I wasn’t too rusty heading into my first event, which was a bonus.

I didn’t have the best of starts to the week as I cracked my driver in the practice round but luckily got helped out from the guys at Golf principles in Basingstoke and found something to use to get me through the event so huge thanks to Jason and his team.

I played pretty solid this week on a tricky layout. It was very firm and bouncy from the recent weather,so made you think your way around and with some pretty juicy rough just off the fairways and greens made positioning key to posting a good number.

Rounds of 72(Level), 69(-3), 69(-3) for a -6 total got me a tie for 6th and a good way to start the year off.

Playing again next week at Cumberwell Park Golf Club from Wednesday to Friday so will keep you posted how the event goes.

Have a great weekend, all the best
